|
|
Clark Copeland was born in 1915 in Kansas. After serving, first as a teacher, then as director of the American Academy in Cyprus, he returned home to work as an 'evangelist at large' with the Reformed Presbyterian Church. He served briefly as a pastor before becoming Professor of Biblical Studies at the Reformed Presbyterian Theological Seminary in Pittsburgh from 1962-89. This book is a tour through the rich tapestry of scripture's great theme of God's Covenant - a theme he loved to set before his students, revealing it in all its multi-faceted wonder. |

The Wailing Jew, wailing before a wall in Jerusalem, all that remains of the Temple, wailing for himself and his people, but not for his sins! The Wandering Jew, philosophically and theologically adrift! But when the Jews turn to Christ with tears of true repentance, this wailing and wandering will end, and they will be led by the Good Shepherd. Then we can all stand together with Paul at the foot of the cross, each one of us saying, 'I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me'. |
